When I was in London in September for an MBA seminar I did not only to a lot of streetstyle shooting in collaboration with several brands which you can find here but also had the opportunity to spend a night at The Hoxton Holborn which is located in the heart of Holborn, just a stone’s throw away from the West End.
The rooms
The Hoxton Holborn has 174 cleverly designed rooms with lovely interior, more than comfy beds, modern bathrooms (I wish mine was just like theirs) and a free daily breakfast bag. You just tick the boxes of the dishes you like best and the time you would like to have your breakfast on the outside of the breakfast paper bag and hang it outside your room. Once you get up you just open your door and there it is – already waiting for you to make your day start the best way possible with a filled stomach and a happy mood.
All rooms are equipped with The Hoxton’s own label’s care products. The brand is called Blank and the product will soon be available to purchase on www.blankbodycare.com. I especially loved the shampoo and shower gel and can’t wait for them to be available.
What I liked most about the room was the bathroom with rain shower and the interior. These things immediately made me feel at home and I would have loved to stay longer in London and at The Hoxton Holborn.
The lobby and restaurant
Once stepping into The Hoxton’s lobby you will find a place as cosy as it can be furnished with the most beautiful sofas, chairs, tables and shelves. The scent of hot coffee and delicious food will envelop you and make you want to take a seat and just enjoy the great atmosphere.
The main restaurant, Hubbard & Bell doesn’t mess around when it comes to cooking. Breakfast is served from 7am with a menu to suit all appetites in case you even need anythink after you had your breakfast bag. But they also have lunch and dinner. Unfortunately we had no opportunity to eat there but from what I have seen on the plates it is definitely worth a visit. The meals looked deliciously and smelled great.
The team
I really appreciate great service as I am travelling a lot and get in touch with services of all kinds every day. That is why I have a lot of opportunities to compare and have to say that The Hoxton’s team is excellent in everything they do. Their staff really seeks to make everybody feel happy and welcome and I want to thank them for making our stay special. And by the way this is what I did not only experience myself but also when taking a look how all the other guests were treatet – so no blogger bonus here but just great service for everyone!
Once I am back in London I hope to be able to stay at The Hoxton again. By the way they have a second hotel in Shoreditch which I am sure is just as great in terms of service and atmosphere as the one in Holborn.
So think of my advice once you are travelling to London. I am sure you guys will love the Hoxton just as much as I did.

Als ich im September für ein MBA Seminar in London war, habe ich nicht nur eine Reihe von Streetstyle-Look geshootet, die ihr übrigens hier findet, sondern auch die Möglichkeit gehabt eine Nacht im The Hoxton Holborn Hotel zu verbringen. Das Hoxton Holborn befindet sich im Herzen des Stadtteils Holborn unweit des Westends und damit in bester Lage ganz Nahe des Zentrums der britischen Hauptstadt.
Die Zimmer
Das Hoxton Holdborn verfügt über 174 clever designte Zimmer mit sorgfältig ausgewählter hochwertiger Einrichtung, unheimlich gemütlichen Betten, super modernen Badezimmern und einer gratis Frühstückstüte. Abends markiert man einfach die gewünschte Variante und die Uhrzeit zu der man das Frühstück erhalten müsste mit einem Kreuzchen außen auf einer hierfür zur Verfügung stehenden Papiertüte, die man im Zimmer findet und hängt diese Tüte im Gang vor dem Zimmer an den dafür bestimmten Haken. Kaum ist man also morgens wach, öffnet man die Zimmertüre und findet dort sein Frühstück vor. Gibt etwas besseres um mit gefülltem Magen und guter Laune in den neuen Tag zu starten?!
Alle Zimmer sind zudem mit Produkten der hauseigenen Pflegemarke Blank ausgestattet. Ich bin vor allem vom Shampoo und dem Duschgel absolut begeistert und habe mich riesig gefreut, als ich erfahren habe, dass es die Produkte schon bald auf www.blankbodycare.com zu kaufen geben wird.
Was ich an unserem Zimmer besonders geschätzt habe, war das traumhafte Badezimmer mit einer Regendusche und die tolle Einrichtung des Raums. Wir haben uns unmittelbar wie zuhause gefühlt und wären super gerne noch länger in London und im Hoxton Holborn geblieben.
Lobby und Restaurant
Sobald man die Lobby des Hoxton Holborn betritt findet man einen Ort vor, so gemütlich wie er nur sein kann, eingerichtet mit wunderschönen Couchen, Sesseln, Tischen, Stühlen und Regalen. Der Duft von Kaffee und gutem Essen umhüllt einen und möchte direkt einfach Platz nehmen und die großartige Atmosphäre aufsaugen.
Das Restaurant im Hoxton Holborn – Hubbard & Bell – lässt sich, was Kochen auf höchstem Niveau anbelangt, nicht lumpen. Ab 7:00 Uhr morgens gibt es für alle, die nach der Frühstücktüte noch Appetit haben Frühstück. Aber auch für Lunch und Dinner ist das Hubbard & Bell ein toller Tipp. Leider hatten wir nicht die Möglichkeit uns dort verköstigen zu lassen, jedoch kann ich das Restaurant vom dem, was ich auf den Tellern gesehen habe und gerochen habe, wärmstens empfehlen. Das sah einfach klasse aus!
Das Team
Ich weiß guten Service sehr zu schätzen, denn ich reise inzwischen recht viel und komme täglich mit allen möglichen Arten von Services in Kontakt. Dadurch fällt es mir immer leichter zu vergleichen und möchte sagen, dass das Team des Hoxton Holborn sich exzellent geschlagen haben. Jeder hat sein möglichstes getan, damit der Aufenthalt für alle toll war und man sich stets willkommen gefühlt hat. Und das habe ich nicht nur bei uns festgestellt, sondern auch bei allen anderen Gästen – von einem Bloggerbonus kann man also definitiv nicht sprechen. Daher möchte ich mich an dieser Stelle ganz herzlich beim Hoxton Holborn Team bedanken.
Wenn ich also das nächste Mal in London bin, hoffe ich wieder die Gelegenheit zu haben, im Hoxton unterzukommen. Übrigens gibt es auch im Stadtteil Shoreditch ein zweites Hoxton und ich bin sicher, auch das kann was den Service und die Atmosphäre betrifft mit dem in Holborn mithalten.
Also denkt doch an mich und das Hoxton, wenn es euch das nächste Mal nach London verschlägt – garantiert gefällt es euch dort ebenso gut wie mir.
