SPRING VIBES w/ DeBijenkorf

Winter is not over yet, spring has not really arrived either. It is the same question every year: What to wear?

The topic of finding a jacket to fit the unpredictable weather between winter and spring is one that arises again and again. Let’s put it this way: my dramatic self would say that it is source of serious concern every year. But I find myself choosing a destinct piece of clothing over and over again and that is why I tend to believe that I have good advice for you.

Der Winter ist noch nicht vorüber, der Frühling auch noch nicht wirklich da. So stellt sich jedes Jahr aufs neue diese eine lästige Frage: Was soll ich tragen? Das Thema Übergangsjacke bzw. Übergangsmantel beschäftigt mich immer wieder und um es einmal dramatisch auszudrücken, es bereitet mir wirklich Kopfzerbrechen. Ich ertappe mich aber dabei, dass ich immer wieder bei ähnlichen Kleidungsstücken lande und ich möchte daher behaupten, ich hätte hier einen guten Tipp für euch.

The Length

I usually prefer long wool coats because they even keep your legs warm a little bit if necessary. Also the silhouette they create often makes me look taller and my legs look longer. I found the perfect wool coat at DeBijenkorf. It is a long grey oversized wool coat without buttons but with a belt from VANILIA. It is thin enough to not be heavy but still allows me to wear a thick sweater underneath if necessary thanks to its wide sleeves and oversized cut.

Also I really like short woolen overshirts a lot this season. One of them you can find in the outfit suggestions below.

Every outfit is created around a woolen jacket or coat which perfectly works for the in-between season. Maybe you find one or another item just as lovely as I do and would like to add it to your not-winter-not-spring wardrobe.

Ich bevorzuge für die Übergangszeit für gewöhnlich lange Wollmäntel, denn die halten auch die Beine wenn nötig noch etwas warm. Außerdem mag ich die Silhouette, die sie zaubern, denn meist verlängern sie die Beine optisch ein wenig. Den für mich absolut perfekten Wollmantel habe ich bei DeBijenkorf gefunden – ein langer, grauer Oversized-Mantel ohne Knöpfe, dafür aber mit Bindegürtel von der skandinavischen Mark VANILIA. Er ist dünn und dadurch nicht schwer, ist aber locker genug geschnitten, um einen dicken Pulli darunter zu tragen. 

Außerdem habe ich in dieser Saison Woll-Overshirts für mich entdeckt. Eines davon habe ich euch in die Outfit-Ideen unten eingebaut.
