OUTFIT: LEATHER ADDICTED

I have two addictions: sunglasses and leather jackets. And then there is this thing I have about stars. I can’t explain it but when I see something with stars it somehow catches my attention right away. Well and then I saw this beautiful leather jacket from Uterqüe with suede stars on the sleeves it was love at first sight. However at first I was a bit disillusioned when I saw the price. 330€ is a lot of money and we just had booked our trip to Barcelona. But then I had that brainwave – Uterqüe is a Spanish brand and most Spanish brands have cheaper prices in Spain than in Germany. So when we were in Barcelona we went to Uterqüe and there it was – my new jacket that I am so proud of! The leather is super smooth, the colours perfectly matching and wearing it makes me happy – is there enything else to wish from a garment?

So here is one of probably many looks I will be wearing with my new leather companion. I am wearing a simple white t-shirt, a vintage Levi’s denim skirt and Adidas’ Inikis you might know from Instagram or one of my latest posts already.

The jacket still was no steal but I didn’t regret buying it for a single second yet so it was absolutely worth the money. If it hit you like it did with me scroll down – there you will find a link to where you can shop it.

Ich habe zwei extreme Schwächen: Sonnenbrillen und Lederjacken. Und dann habe ich noch diese Sache mit Sternen. Beschreiben kann ich das nicht genau, aber wann immer etwas Sterne drauf hat, weckt es unmittelbar meine Aufmerksamkeit. Nun ja und dann habe ich diese Lederjacke mit Wildleder-Sternen auf den Ärmeln von Uterqüe entdeckt und schlagartig war es um mich geschehen. Allerdings hat mit der Preis mit 330€ erst einmal den Wind aus den Segeln genommen, denn wir hatten gerade erst unseren Trip nach Barcelona gebucht und das Portemonnaie war dadurch etwas geschädigt. Ein Geistesblitz hat dann aber doch wieder neue Hoffnung aufkeimen lassen, denn Uterqüe ist eine spanische Marke und unsere lieben spanischen Freunde verkaufen ihre Mode in Spanien deutlich günstiger als hier in Deutschland. Das gilt übrigens auch für Marken wie Zara, Pull & Bear und Co.

Wir sind also nach Barcelona geflogen und der Besuch des Uterqüe Stores durfte dann natürlich auf der Liste der Unternehmungen nicht fehlen. Meine traumhafte neue Lederjacke war also mit im Gepäck und ich bin super happy, dass ich sie mir gegönnt habe. Das Leder ist unheimlich weich, die Farben toll aufeinander abgestimmt und wenn ich sie trage grinse ich über’s ganze Gesicht – was kann man sich von einem Kleidungsstück noch mehr wünschen?

Hier ist also der erste von wahrscheinlich vielen Looks mit meiner neuen Jacke. Ich trage sie mit einem unkomplizierten weißen T-Shirt, einem Vintage Jeansrock von Levi’s und den Adidas Inikis, die ihr vielleicht schon von Instagram oder einem meiner letzten Posts kennt.

Zwar war die Jacke kein Schnäppchen, ich habe es aber noch keine Sekunde bereut, dass ich zugeschlagen habe – sie war das Geld also allemal wert. Und wenn sie euch auch so gepackt hat, wie mich, dann scrollt direkt mal zum Ende des Posts, denn dort habe ich euch verlinkt, wo ihr sie kaufen könnt.

OUTFIT: FIRST AUTUMN VIBES

Hi autumn, this is my first look for you. Summer here in Munich somehow ended quite abruptly which somehow also might be due to our trip to Mallorca which was an extension of summer for us. Now the days are getting shorter day by day and there is this scent of fall in the air. Of course summer is a great season but other than many people I really like fall as well and to be honest I was already missing my coats and am happy to finally wear them soon again.

Also it is time to give your shorts the well-deserved hibernation now and saying that my beloved denims are back in the game. Isn’t denim something perfectly timeless you can wear for years? In the coming weeks you will see pretty much denim here on the blog as there is no other fabric I like more. And I am starting with a real classic today – a skinny jeans by my favorite denim brand AG. The style is called Legging Ankle is it is skinny and elastic as a legging and ends with the ankle. However the denims by AG are not cheap I tend to by them over and over again as the quality and washes just convince me over and over again. You might have seen me wearing their mom-jeans Phoebe some weeks ago. What I think is very special about AG’s denims is that they don’t loose their shape no matter how often you wear them. This is something I appreciate a lot and that apparently not many brands are able to offer.

Well, let me give you the advice to invest in an AG denim once you have saved a little money – I am sure you won’t regret it! Together with my skinny jeans I am wearing a simple white blouse with lace-up detail, classic black slippers and a little bag from George, Gina & Lucy. If you scroll to the end of the page you will be able to shop my look. Unfortunately the blouse is quite old however I found some quite similar ones. So just have a look.

Hallo Herbst, hier kommt mein erster Look für dich. Der Sommer hier in München hat irgendwie recht abrupt geendet, was vielleicht auch daran liegen mag, dass wir die letzten Sommertage auf Mallorca verbracht haben. Kaum waren wir jedenfalls zurück, schon wurden die Tage nach und nach immer kürzer und die Luft duftet schon nach Herbst. Der Sommer ist natürlich eine tolle Jahreszeit, anders als viele, bin ich aber auch ein großer Fan des Herbsts. Endlich dürfen nämlich meine Mäntel wieder raus ans Tageslicht.

Abgesehen davon, haben unsere Shorts sich doch ihren Winterschlaf auch redlich verdient und das bedeutet für meine langen Jeans, sie werden auch wieder mal aus den Tiefen des Kleiderschranks gegraben. Ist Denim nicht auch einfach ein Material, das so schön zeitlos ist, dass man eine gute Hose viele Jahre tragen kann? Ich warne euch lieber schon einmal vor: In den kommenden Wochen werdet ihr hier auf dem Blog viel Denim zu sehen bekomme, denn es gibt kaum ein Material, das ich so gerne trage wie Jeans. Heute geht es mit einem sehr klassischen Jeans-Schnitt los – einer Skinny Jeans meiner Lieblingsmarke AG. Das Modell nennt sich Legging Ankle, ist wunderbar skinny und dennoch elastisch wie eine Legging und endet knapp über dem Knöchel. Zwar sind die Denims von AG nicht gerade Schnäppchen, die Qualität und Waschungen überzeugen mich aber immer wieder auf’s Neue und die Investition lohnt sich einfach. Vielleicht erinnert ihr euch, dass ich erst kürzlich die Mom-Jeans Phoebe in einem Post getragen habe. Das tolle an den Hosen ist einfach, dass sie nicht ausleiern oder beim Waschen ihre Form verlieren. Das ist etwas, was ich sehr zu schätzen weiß und bei vielen anderen Brands leider bisher noch vermisse.

Solltet ihr also einmal ein bisschen Gespartes übrig haben, dann investiert in eine AG. Es lohnt sich! Ich trage zu meiner Legging Ankle dieses Mal eine weiße Bluse mit Schnür-Detail, klassische schwarze Slipper und eine kleine Tasche von George, Gina & Lucy. Am Ende des Posts findet ihr ein paar Anregungen, wo ihr den Look nachshoppen könnt. Die Bluse ist leider schon etwas älter, ich habe aber ein paar recht ähnliche finden können. ELLA MOSS TUNIC DRESS

We arrived back in Germany one week ago and my batteries are filled with energy and sun from a great week on Mallorca. And I want you to benefit from that as well. This is why I am showing you this very summery outfit today that we shot in Palma. I am wearing an Ella Moss tunic dress which was a real bargain some weeks ago at an outlet sale and added my wonderful green velvet slides from Adidas. Actually the outfit is not combined from many components as the dress itself is very extravagant and colorful. Some jewellery and sunglasses gave the look a great finish and I was ready to go.

We took the photos for this outfit in a cute little street right in the heart of Palma de Mallorca. I love the city because where ever you go there are streets like this one with little cafés, bakeries or boutiques. However the city is always busy – even in late September – is doesn’t seem to crowded. It’s a place to feel comfortable at so once you have the chance to travel to Mallorca, I am sure you’ll love it.

By the way: where do you do the shopping for your travel first-aid-kit? A good address to find whatever you need for your next trip is Europa Apotheek. They have all essentials for being healthy while enjoying your travels.

Seit einer Woche sind wir wieder zurück in Deutschland und meine Batterien sind endlich wieder voll geladen mit Energie und mallorquinischer Sonne. Davon sollt natürlich auch ihr profitieren und deshalb kommt hier auch schon das zweite Outfit, das wir in Palma fotografiert haben. Ich trage ein Tunikakleid der Marke Ella Moss, das ich vor ein paar Wochen für kleines Geld in einem Outlet-Sale ergattern konnte und dazu habe ich meine grünen Samt-Adiletten kombiniert. Der Look besteht aus nicht vielen Einzelkomponenten und wirkt dennoch klasse, da das Kleid durch seine buten Farben und den fließenden Stoff sehr extravagant wirkt. Das perfekte Finish erhält das Outfit durch ein wenig Schmuck und eine Sonnenbrille.

Die Fotos sind in einer süßen kleinen Gasse im Herzen von Palma entstanden. Ich liebe die Stadt denn solche Gassen finden sich dort quasi überall und sind gespickt mit Cafés, Bäckereien und hübschen Boutiquen. Palma ist immer geschäftig – sogar Ende September – und wirkt dennoch nicht überlaufen. Ein toller Urlaubsort eben, in dem man sich richtig wohlfühlen kann. Wenn ihr also einmal die Gelegenheit habt, nach Mallorca zu fliegen, bin ich sicher, euch wird’s klasse gefallen.

Übrigens: Wo habt ihr denn bisher alles Nötige für eure Reiseapotheke geshoppt? Lasst mich euch einen Tipp geben – eine tolle Adresse hierfür ist Europa Apotheek. So habt ihr alles Wichtige schnell und unkompliziert zusammen und die nächste Reise kann schon bald kommen!

STRIPED AG TANK AND MORE

I am back! And very sorry for the little period of absence but I just needed the holiday with my family so much and when I then I a problem with my camera I tought this must have been destiny. I just should not work in Mallorca and so all the many outfits I planned to shoot stayed in the closet and we only did two. But to be honest isn’t this exactly what holidays are about? Just relax and give your brain and soul a little timeout?

Well, whatever – I am back now and that’s what really matters. And this is one of the two outfits we shot in Palma de Mallorca. However that was about it with summer in Germany now I still hope to give you some good vibes with the last few summer looks I will show you here on the blog in the coming days. This look is a very simple one but being that it is also one of my favorites. Just take a triped tank, add a pair of vintage denim shorts and simple espandrillos, pimp the look with some cute jewellery and there you go. I am wearing a combination of silver and rosé golden jewellery a lot lately and I like how the two match perfectly.

Talking about jewellery let me present you Elixa. You might remember that I showed you the beautiful what I am wearing in the photos some weeks ago already during Berlin fashion week. There Elixa had a booth at Instyle Lounge – the perfect place for bloggers and brands to meet up and inspire each other. Probably your can imagine how happy I was when a box containing this beautiful watch was delivered several days ago.

Ich bin zurück! Und bitte entschuldigt meine vorübergehende Abwesenheit. Den Urlaub mit meiner Familie hatte ich aber einfach dringend nötig und als mir dann ein Problem mit meiner Kamera einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht hat, war ich mir sicher – das musste Schicksal sein. Die Klamotten zum shooten blieben also im Kleiderschrank und nur zwei davon wurden auch abgelichtet. Aber genau dafür sind Ferien doch auch da, nicht wahr? Einfach mal Hirn und Seele baumeln lassen, damit man anschließend neue Kraft für den Alltag hat.

Wie auch immer – ich bin wieder da und habe heute das erste in Palma de Mallorca geshootete Outfit im Gepäck. Der Sommer hier in Deutschland ist zwar so gut wie rum, nichtsdestotrotz hoffe ich, euch noch ein paar gute sommerliche Vibes in den Herbst mit den Outfits, die in den kommenden Tagen hier auf dem Blog erscheinen werden, mitgeben zu können. Dieses Outfit hier ist ein unkomplizierter Wohlfühl-Look: man nehme ein gestreiftes Tanktop, Vintage Denim-Shorts und klassische schwarze Espandrillos, würze das ganze mit etwas Schmuck und los geht’s. In letzter Zeit trage ich meist eine Kombi aus silbernem und rosé-goldenem Schmuck, das passt einfach klasse zusammen und noch dazu zum Sommer-Teint.

Und wo ich nun schon von Schmuck spreche, sind Uhren nie weit. Wie ihr vielleicht noch dunkel im Gedächtnis habt, habe ich euch zur Fashion Week in Berlin eine Uhr auf Instagram gezeigt. Nämlich ein Modell der Marke Elixa, die in der Instyle Lounge, wo sich Marken und Blogger in tollem Ambiente austauschen und gegenseitig inspirieren konnten, einen tollen Stand hatten. Ihr könnt euch sicher denken, dass ich ganz aus dem Häuschen war, als mich vor ein paar Tagen ein Paket mit dieser hübschen Uhr erreicht hat.

MIDI PAISELY DRESS BARCELONA LOOK

Hello guys, finally I am ready to show you the outfit we shot in Barcelona. I planned to shoot so many more outfits but the city had so much to offer that we just did not have the time to do so. But here we go with the one we shot. I was wearing my new midi paisley dress from Zara together with by beloved Adidas slides and the red Jérome Studio bag I showed you before. However the dress is rather elegant with the slides the look is just how I like my outfits. The mixture of sportive and chic pieces is what almost all my outfits are based on. Mostly my shoes add the sportive touch as I love sneakers and slides like the Adidas ones but it can also be a cozy sweater worn with heels – as long as the overall look is not too posh I like it.

By the way – did you see my two travel posts about the accomodations we were at? First we spent some night in one of the most stylish AirBnB flats I have ever been to and then we slept at Retrome Boutique Hotel. There is still the third accomodation missing but I will upload it in the upcoming days so stay tuned people.

I wish you a very relaxed Sunday with a lot of hours of quality time with your beloved ones. I will do so and do a cooking session with my family – can’t wait to get it started.

Hallo ihr Lieben, endlich ist mein Post über das einzige Outfit, das wir in Barcelona fotografiert haben, fertig. Eigentlich hatten wir so viel mehr geplant, doch die tolle Stadt hatte so viel zu bieten, dass die Shooterei einfach etwas in den Hintergrund geraten ist. Aber was soll’s – man soll sein Leben schließlich auch leben. Hier also das Outfit bestehend aus einem Midi-Wickelkleid mit Paisleymuster von Zara, meinen heißgeliebten Adiletten und der traumhaften roten Tasche von Jérome Studio, die ich auch schon kürzlich einmal gezeigt hatte, besteht. Das Kleid ist für meinen Geschmack schon eher schick, deshalb habe ich es mit den sehr sportlichen Schlappen kombiniert. Eine gute Balance zwischen eleganten und sportlichen Teilen ist mir bei meinen Looks immer wichtig. So bilden die Basis oft Sneaker oder eben Schlappen wie meine Adiletten. Sind die Schuhe aber elegant, achte ich darauf, sie mit einem coolen Sweater oder lässigen Shirt zu kombinieren. Solange der Look nicht zu bieder oder aufgetakelt wirkt, ist er für mein Empfinden gelungen.

Habt ihr übrigens schon meine beiden Travel-Posts über unsere ersten beiden Unterkünfte gesehen? Erst haben wir einige Tage in einer der genialsten AirBnB Wohnungen, die ich je gesehen habe, verbracht, anschließend sind wir im Retrome Boutique Hotel untergekommen. Die dritte und letzte Unterkunft habe ich euch bisher noch vorenthalten, der Post darüber folgt aber in den kommenden Tagen. Bleibt also gespannt.

Jetzt wünsche ich euch einen schönen Sonntag, mit hoffentlich vielen Stunden Zeit für Quality Time mit euren Liebsten. Für mich heißt es heute kochen mit der Family und ich freue mich schon, wenn es bald losgeht.

BAVARIAN COSTUMES BY GOTTSEIDANK

Hello my dears, here in Munich we have a fifth season. We are celebrating the wedding of crown prince Ludwig and princess Therese which took place on 17th October 1810. The whole city came together at Theresienwiese in the center of Munich to watch a horse race together with the newly married couple. From this day on with only very view expectations the people are celebrating the Octoberfest every year for two weeks in late Septemper to the beginning of October. However everything started with a horse race today the celebrations are different. Oktoberfest – or the Wiesn how we call it as locals – is the biggest folk festival in the world and every year thousands of people come to visit it from all over the world.

On Oktoberfest people come together to have a great time, drink the very good Bavarian beer, have great local food and enjoy the many rides that guarantee fun for old and young. Furthermore the Wiesn is one of the most important occasions for us to wear our traditional costumes. Women wear a Dirndl, men wear Lederhosen. In the past years many brands desining our traditional costumes were founded so that meanwhile it becomes more and more difficult to decide where to buy. Although taking a closer look you can easily sort the wheat from the chaff. Especially if you have certain values that you are sure about there are not many brands left.

This is why today I want to present you my favourite costumes brand called Gottseidank. The name’s meaning translated into English is “Thank god” and actually this describes the brand pretty good. Many brands create really modern, glittery and rather overdone costumes totally forgetting about tradition. Thank god: Gottseidank is different. Here you will find traditional costumes with modern silhouettes and fabrics still preserving old values.

So on this year’s search for a new costume I went to Gottseidank’s shop here in Munich and was overwhelmed by the wide range of incredibly beautiful Dirndls, the warmly welcoming team in store and the highly professional work they do at Gottseidank. Each piece at the store is created with loving attention to detail. The high quality of the fabrics and carefully chosen combinations make each piece special. As you can choose the apron yourself and the combinations are not fixed to any style beforehand everyone leaves the store with a very unique look.

When I left the store I had a bag full of treasures in my hand and joy in my heart. I had found the perfect Dirndl with all accessories needed. I was overwhelmed with compliments by my boyfriend, family and friends and now can’t wait to finally wear my beautiful new costume at the Oktoberfest in a little more than two weeks.

Hallo ihr Lieben, wir hier in München haben eine fünfte Jahreszeit. Jedes Jahr Ende September bis Anfang Oktober feiern wir die Hochzeit des Kronprinzen mit seiner Prinzessin Therese, die am 17. Oktober 1810 in Form eines Pferderennens auf der Theresienwiese im Herzen München stattfand. Damals kam die ganze Stadt auf der Wiese zusammen, um den frisch getrauten Paar zu huldigen. Daraus entstand eine Tradition und seit jeher kommen die Münchner jährlich (mit nur wenigen Ausnahmen) auf der Wiesn zusammen. Ein Pferderennen ist es inzwischen nicht mehr, jedoch das weltweit größte Volksfest und inzwischen Anlaufstelle für Menschen aus aller Welt.

Auf dem Oktoberfest – oder der Wiesn, wie wir Münchner sie traditionell nennen – gibt es feinstes bayerisches Bier, köstliche Speisen und zahlreiche Fahrgeschäfte für jung und alt. Außerdem ist die Wiesn die wohl wichtigste Gelegenheit für uns, unsere Tracht zu tragen. Wir Mädels tragen Dirndl, die Männer Lederhosen. Und so sind in den vergangenen Jahren etliche Trachtenmarken aus dem Boden geschossen. Die Auswahl an Tracht wird größer, das heißt jedoch noch lange nicht, dass es die Suche nach der richtigen Tracht vereinfacht.

Die Spreu vom Weizen zu trennen gestaltet sich zunehmend schwieriger und deshalb möchte ich euch heute meine Lieblings-Trachtenmarke Gottseidank ans Herz legen. Tracht wurde in den vergangenen Jahren immer schriller, schillernder und teils sehr übertrieben – die Tradition haben viele aus den Augen verloren. Gott sei Dank nicht Gottseidank! Als ich kürzlich auf der Suche nach einem neuen Dirndl den Laden von Gottseidank hier in München besuchte, war ich hin und weg von der tollen Auswahl an wunderschöner Tracht, dem herzlichen Team und der höchst professionellen Arbeitsweise von Gottseidank. Jedem Teil im Shop sieht man an, mit welcher liebevollen Hingabe es designt und gefertigt wurde. Die hohe Qualität der Materialien und bedacht gewählten Stoffkombinationen machen jedes Teil zu einem kleinen Kunstwerk. Anders als ich es bisher von den meisten Trachtengeschäften gewohnt war, konnte ich hier die Schürze selbst aussuchen, die Kombination war also noch nicht vorbestimmt. Das bedeutet auch, dass jeder den Shop mit einer einzigartigen Kreation verlässt.

Als ich den Heimweg aus dem Gottseidank Shop antrat, hatte ich eine Tüte mit wunderschönen Sachen in der Hand und das Glück im Herzen – es gibt wohl kaum etwas Schöneres. Ich habe nämlich das perfekte Dirndl plus die passenden Accessoires gefunden. Dazu gehören halterlose Strümpfe aus weißer Spitze, eine Dirndlbluse mit Spitzendetails und Trachtenschuhe aus schwarzem Leder. Daheim wurde ich direkt mit Komplimenten überschüttet und kann es jetzt kaum mehr erwarten bis in gut zwei Wochen die Wiesn startet und ich mein Gottseidank Outfit ausführen kann.
