It’s been a while since I last posted something on here. But today I am back with a little home update. In my opinion, often when a room lacks cosiness and character that is not because of missing furniture but because of naked walls. That was the case in my flat as well so today you’ll get an update from the place have been living in for almost two years now and that definitely did get an amazing new vibes with some wall art I found on Printler.

Seit meinem letzten Beitrag hier ist eine Weile vergangen. Aber heute melde ich mich mit einem kleinen Home Update bei euch zurück. The Wall Planner
With so many different artist being available at Printler also the selection of posters is huge. To help you find the right art, it’s categorized by trends, themes, colors and types of rooms. Once you have saved your favorites, you can use Printler’s amazing Wall Planner tool to help you put together your own picture wall.
Step 1 is to mark your favorite posters with a heart. In step 2 your arrange the selected posters in your preferred manner whilst choosing between the available sizes. Die Fotowand in meinem Wohnzimmer kennt ihr vielleicht schon. Sie zusammen zu stellen war garnicht so einfach. Genau dafür hat Printler eine geniale Lösung entwickelt: Den Wandplaner.

My Printler wall art favorites
Over the past 1.5 years this apartment became a real home. Still for example in the kitchen is was lacking the right vibes. I had hung a couple of posters I brought from the previous flat but they just didn’t meet the look I was aiming for. When looking through the Printler posters I had a hard time choosing wall art for the kitchen as well. Not because I couldn’t find anything I liked but because there was so much I enjoyed looking at that it was hard to make a final choice.
About the second poster ‘You Can Go Your Own Way’ (also from William Lars Gustafsson) I chose I especially like the message. We all can go our own ways. But it can be hard. People then to compare themselves to others but everyone should just go the way that works best for them. I have to remind myself of that quite often. Everyone has their own level of energy, their own motivation, their own speed. Stop comparing yourself to others and just do your thing.
The third poster – a floral illustration by Sanny Lundgren – just have me good vibes when I looked at it and I enjoyed how the three of them go so well together.
And then there is the art print I chose for our restroom door. It has a window and to ensure privacy there was a quite weird piece of ‘art’ hung in front of mentioned window. ‘Oh merde’ btw means ‘oh sh*t’ in English and I thought it was quite funny to have this on the loo door, don’t you think? I hope our future guests will forgive me for the bad joke. 😉
Meine Printler Wall Art Favoriten
In den letzten 1,5 Jahren, die ich in meiner Wohnung wohne, ist sie zu einem echten Zuhause geworden. Zum Beispiel fehlte aber der Küche der richtige Vibe. Ich hatte einige der Poster aus der alten Wohnung dort aufgehängt, sie haben aber einfach nicht den Look getroffen, den ich mir vorgestellt hatte. Als ich dann durch die Printler Poster klickte, fiel mir die Wahl dann doch schwerer aus gedacht. Nicht, weil mir nicht gefallen hätte. Das Gegenteil war der Fall – es gab zu viele Poster, die meinen Geschmack trafen.
Jetzt könnte ich mit meiner Auswahl aber zufriedener nicht sein. Das größte Poster für die Küche ist das ‘Bauhaus 1923 Poster‘ von William Lars Gustafsson in der Größe 70×100 cm. Besonders die Farbkombi und der Retro Look sprechen mich an.
Beim zweiten Poster meiner Auswahl ‘You Can Go Your Own Way’ (ebenfalls von William Lars Gustafsson) hat mich vor allem die Message gefesselt. Wir alle können unsere eigenen Wege einschlagen. Aber das ist nicht immer leicht. Menschen tendieren dazu, sich mit anderen zu vergleichen. Dabei sollte jeder seinen eigenen Weg finden und auch ich selbst muss mich daran immer wieder erinnern. Jeder hat ein anderes Energielevel, eine andere Motivation, eine andere Geschwindigkeit durchs Leben zu gehen. Hört also auf, euch an anderen zu messen und macht euer Ding.
Das dritte Poster in der Küche – eine florale Illustration von Sanny Lundgren – hat mich emotional und ästhetisch abgeholt und die Kombi aus allen drei Postern hat mir dann so gut gefallen, dass es eben genau diese Konstellation geworden ist.
Und dann wäre da noch der Art Print, den ich für die Tür unserer Toilette ausgewählt habe. Die hat nämlich ein Fenster und um bisher hier die nötige Privatsphäre zu garantieren, hing an der Tür ein etwas eigenartiges, bedrucktes Metallschild. Das Poster ‘Oh Merde’ von Ute Arnold macht sich hingegen viel besser an der Tür. ‘Oh merde’ ist übrigens Französisch für ‘Oh Sch***e’. Irgendwie passend für die Tür an der es hängt, oder? Ich hoffe unsere zukünftigen Gäste verzeihen mir den Wortwitz. 😉

It is indisputable – winter is here. For me however this is no reason to not keep up the fashion game. Au contraire! Therefore I want to show you an outfit today, featuring a piece you might not expect in a winter look at all: a leather skirt.

Man kann es nun wirklich nicht mehr abstreiten – der Winter ist da. Die Kalte Jahreszeit ist für mich aber noch lange kein Grund, der Mode den Rücken zu kehren. Im Gegenteil! Im zeige euch heute ein Piece, das ihr in einem Winteroutfit wohl so gar nicht erwartet hättet: den Lederrock.
How I wear my leather skirt in winter
Thinking of a leather skirt, you might think of a summer look at first, but who said leather skirts have to be short and can only be worn when it is warm outside? Now that I am a dog mom I am spending a lot more time in the nature. That makes me want to try new fashion trends even more. Therefore when I recently received the brown leather skirt I wore for the shoot I started combining it in many different ways and thought: Why not show my favorite outfit to you guys?!
So here we go! To make sure you are not getting cold, the first thing I suggest wearing underneath the skirt is tights or leggings. Then I went for my new v-neck knit sweater with a cute little collar adding a sophisticated touch. I keep telling you I like mixing different styles which is why I thought combat chelsea boots would be a great choice for my look. As the leather skirt’s fit is very slim I decided to wear it with an oversized parka-like olive green jacket.
Wie ich meinen Lederrock im Winter trage
Wenn ihr an einen Lederrock denkt, kommt euch (ähnlich wie mir) vermutlich zuerst ein Sommerlook in den Sinn. Doch wer hat eigentlich gesagt, Lederröcke müssen kurz sein und können nur dann getragen werden, wenn es draußen warm ist?! Na eben! Jetzt wo ich als Hundemama nämlich viel in der Natur bin, macht es mir umso mehr Spaß, mit modetechnisch in der Stadt etwas mehr auszutoben. Als mich also der schicke braue Lederrock, den ich beim Shooting für diesen Blogpost getragen habe, erreicht hat, habe ich direkt ein paar Looks zusammengestellt und zeige euch heute meinen Favoriten daraus.
Los geht’s also! Damit ihr, wenn ihr euren Lederrock im Winter tragt nicht frieren müsste, empfehle ich zuallererst einmal eine Strumpfhose oder Leggings unter den Rock anzuziehen. Ich habe dann einen Pullover mit V-Kragen und einem süßen kleinen Kragen dazu kombiniert. Weil ich Stilbrüche ja bekanntlich LIEBE, fand ich grobe Combat Chelsea Boots als Ergänzung zu meinem Lederrock genau die richtige Wahl. Weil der Lederrock außerdem sehr schmal und figurbetont geschnitten ist, trage ich dazu eine olivgrüne Oversized Jacke im Parkerlook.
Accessories

The midi dress
We all have them, we all love them, we all miss them once summer tends to be over – our favorite midi dresses. Yet it is so easy to transform midi dresses to be the perfect fall pieces. Wear your midi dress with high shaft boots. That way you can completely cover your legs and prevent them from geeting cold even on a chilly fall day.
To make your midi dresses work as summer to fall styles I recommend to add a leather jeacket. Leather jackets work especially well with midi dresses because they are usually rather short and add to the nice silhouette of the dress.
For those of you who are not ready to let their summer tan fade yet, don’t forget to moisturize your skin regularly. That way your tan lines will be visible a lot longer and the summer feelings don’t disappear too soon. Also golden jewellery usually makes the skin look more tanned so why don’t you spoil yourself with a lovely statement ring?! Or how about a watch? The right watch effortlessly give your outfit the special extra. I recently have become a huge fan of the Danish watch brand Nordgreen.

Das Midi-Kleid
Wir alle haben sie, lieben sie und sind jedes mal etwas wehmütig, wenn sich der Sommer dem Ende zuneigt und wir sie im hinteren Teil des Kleiderschranks verstauen müssen – unsere Lieblings-Midikleider. Dabei ist es doch so einfach, Midikleider herbsttauglich zu stylen. Der einfachste Trick dabei ist, Stiefel mit hohem Schaft zum Midikleid zu tragen. So ist das ganze Bein bedeckt und die Beine frieren auch an einem kühleren Herbsttag nicht.
Zusätzlich empfehle ich eine Lederjacke zum Midikleid, denn die verpasst dem Kleid das perfekte Sommer zu Herbst Make-Over. Lederjacken sehen außerdem durch den meist etwas kürzeren Schnitt ganz besonders gut zu Kleidern aus, da sie die Silhouette so wunderbar unterstreichen.
Für alle, die noch nicht bereit sind, den Sommer Teint schon aufzugeben, gilt Feuchtigkeitspflege für die Haut ist das A und O. So bleiben euch die Tan Lines ganz besonders lange erhalten und das Sommer Feeling ebenso. Auch goldener Schmuck lässt die Haut gebräunter aussehen. Wie wäre es also mit einem schicken Statementring?! Auch eine Uhr verleiht jedem Outfit mühelos das gewisse Extra. Besonders gut gefallen mir aktuell die Uhren vom dänischen Label von Nordgreen.

A second summer trend that definitely is convertable to fill is satin skirts. My favorite satin skirt is the Alsop skirt from Samsoe Samsoe. It has just the perfect length and cut and iss currently available at Debijenkorf in two different colors: light yellow with polka dots and a classic, elegant black.
To wear satin skirts as summer to fall styles I like to add a cosy sweater and ankle boots. The slim silhouette of satin skirts allow to go for oversized sweaters, blouses or jackets. Ein zweiter Sommertrend, der sich bestens auch für den Herbst anbietet sind Satin-Röcke. Mein Lieblingsmodell ist hier der Alsop Rock von Samsoe Samsoe, den es aktuell bei DeBijenkorf in zwei tollen Farben, einem Hellgeld mit Pünktchen und einem eleganten, klassischen Schwarz gibt.

Just add mom or boyfriend jeans like these indigo jeans by Sandro and a trenchcoat like this timeless darling from Claudie Pierlot and you have ther perfect classic fall look. I am totally obsessed with the boots of the French brand Maje. Can I have them all as a much needed upgrade for my shoe collection?!
Last but not least as classic as the lace blouse look is already we could add a luxurious designer bag which can keep us company for year if not even decades. I wish the hourglass bag from Balenciaga wasn’t that far out of my reach. But hey, I like to save for the very special things in life and as I am turning 30 next year, this might be the perfect gift to myself.
Die Spitzenbluse
Ein Dauerliebling: Spitzenblusen. Sie sind nicht nur das It-Piece der Hippie und Festival Girls, sondern ebenso passend fürs Büro. Deshalb haben wir sie wohl alle in unserem Kleiderschrank. Und so dürfte es auch keine Überraschung sein, dass sie sich bestens für ein Herbstoutfit kombinieren lassen.
Eine Mom- oder Boyfriendjeans dazu, wie dieses schicke indigoblaue Modell von Sandro und vielleicht einen Trenchcoat wie dieser von Claudie Pierlot und der Look ist perfekt. Ich bin außerdem ein riesen Fan der Boots der französischen Marke Maje und wünschte, ich könnte sie alle in meine Schuhsammlung aufnehmen.
Nicht zuletzt, gerade weil der Look um die Spitzenbluse herum so schön klassisch ist, wäre doch eine schicke Designertasche ideal, um das Outfit abzurunden. Ich wünsche die Hourglass Bag von Balenciagawäre nicht ganz so weit außerhalb meiner aktuellen budgetären Reichweite. Aber auf Teile wie dieses spare ich auch gerne eine Weil. Nächstes Jahr werde ich schließlich 30 und vielleicht mache ich mir zu diesem Anlass ein besonders Geschenk.

I stopped counting the days of quaratine and actually I am using the gained time pretty efficiently. That is why I do not mind the current restrictions of leaving the house that much.
I used the extra time to prepare a new blogpost for you. Ich habe aufgehört die Quarantäne-Tage zu zählen und ehrlich gesagt nutze ich die gewonnene Zeit momentan sehr sinnvoll, weshalb es mir weniger schlimm vorkommt, dass die Ausgangsbeschränkungen nach wie vor sehr streng sind.
Ich habe diese Zeit in einen neuen Blogpost für euch investiert. Bestimmt bin ich nicht die Einzige, die sich nach dem Sommer sehnt und schon den ein oder anderen Warenkorb mit potenziellen Neuanschaffungen gefüllt hat. Mein neues Sommerkleid
Ich möchte euch heute mein neues Lieblingssommerkleid und viele weitere Kleider von DeBijenkorf zeigen, die euch sicherlich gefallen werden. Ich bin aktuell ein großer Fan von Blümchenprints in allen Farben und Formen und habe mich deshalb direkt in dieses schwarz-weiße, langärmelige Boho Kleid von Whistles verguckt. The quality and fabric are great and I love the buttons which go all the way up to the neck. I kept the colors of my outfit simple and just added black boots, a black bag and golden jewellery. Die Qualität und der Stoff des meines Kleids ist super und ich mag es, dass die stoffbezogenen Knöpfe bis oben hin geschlossen werden können. Ich habe mein Outfit in schlichten Farben gehalten und lediglich mit schwarzen Boots, einer schwarzen Tasche und goldenem Schmuck ergänzt. Die Advanced Renewal Cream versorgt die Haut mit Feuchtigkeit und sorgt für eine Stimulation der Kollagen-Produktion. Dadurch werden Elastizität und Straffheit verbessert. Da die Haut vermehrt Feuchtigkeit behalten kann, verschwinden sogar kleine Fältchen.
Die Revitalizing Eye Cream verhilft der Haut dazu kleine Falten und Linien mit Aminosäure Peptiden zu verringern. Die Haut wird mit Feuchtigkeit versorgt, leichte Schwellungen vergehen. Auch Augenringen wird dadurch entgegen gewirkt.
Ich verwende die beiden Cremes seit circa zwei Monaten in Kombination. Seither ist meine Haut viel weicher und fühlt sich gesünder an. Außerdem eignen sich die Produkte prima als Grundlage für meine tägliche Make-Up Routine.

Billige Gratisprodukte im Hotel – darauf kann ich ab sofort verzichten. Das Set kommt sogar in einem transparenten Zip-Mäppchen, das im Handgepäck zugelassen ist. Hierin ist sogar noch Platz für Deo, Parfum und Zahnpasta.
Danke MALIN+GOETZ! Ein wirklich gelungenes Set, das mir schon auf meiner Reise in die Staaten sehr viel Freude bereitet hat. Und es ist sogar nach 3 Wochen Urlaub noch etwas übrig.
Perfumes by MALIN+GOETZ
Talking about perfume: MALIN+GOETZ recently launched their perfume collection consisting of six different scents. My favorites are Stem and Dark Rum however the latter is a little too heavy for me for everyday use. Therefore I went for Stem – a fresh whilst floral scent with top notes of mandarin leaves, wild freesia greens and hyacinth florets, midnotes of muguet flower stalk, rose centifolia stems and jasmine buds and dry notes of white cedar, vetiver, ambrox super and musk molecules. I cannot wait for summer to come as I believe Stem will be my absolutely favorite summer perfume this year.
Parfüm von MALIN+GOETZ
Wo ich gerade schon von Parfüm gesprochen habe, möchte ich euch folgendes nicht vorenthalten: kürzlichen hat MALIN+GOETZ auch eine Duft-Kollektion bestehend aus sechs Düften gelauncht. Meine Favoriten hieraus sind Stem und Dark Rum, wobei letzteres für meinen Geschmack als Alltags-Duft etwas zu schwer ist. Ich habe mich also für Stem entschieden – einen frischen, zugleich floralen Duft mit Kopfnoten von Mandarinen-Blättern, wilden Freesien und Hyazinthenblüte, eine Herznote aus Maiglöckchen, Rosenblütenextrakt und Jasminknospen und einer Basisnote aus weißer Zeder, Vetivergras und Moschusmolekülen. Ich kann den Sommer kaum abwarten, denn Stem wird sicher einer meiner Lieblingsdüfte in diesem Jahr.
Scented candles
Last but not least let me tell you about the MALIN+GOETZ scented candles collection. All candles are made in Brooklyn which I think is super cool and available in the same scents as the perfumes plus even more. However Dark Rum was too heavy for me as a perfume it is the most amazing scent for my living room. I wish this candle would never finish burning. It creates an atmosphere of pure relaxation and I don’t even want to imagine the day I light it the last time. #sorrynot sorry for being dramatic. 🙂
Duftkerzen
Zu guter Letzt möchte ich auch die Duftkerzen von MALIN+GOETZ erwähnt haben. Alle Kerzen werden in Brookly hergestellt – was ich übrigens wahnsinnig cool finde – und sie sind sowohl in den Duftrichtungen der Parfüms, aber auch noch in weiteren Sorten erhältlich. Hier ist mein Favorit definitiv Dark Rum, denn was für meine Haut etwas zu schwer war, ist für mein Wohnzimmer geradezu perfekt. Die Kerze sorgt für eine Atmosphäre der absoluten Entspannung und ich möchte gar nicht an den Tag denken, an dem ich sie das letzte mal anzünde. #sorrynotsorry für diese dramatische Ausdrucksweise. 🙂

End of january the countdown started – only a couple more days until we kick off our trip to the US and therefore needed to pack our suitcases. When I was a child our mom always told us to start packing early to avoid stress shortly before the start of a trip. But stress is nothing I connect with packing my suitcase. Rather is packing my suitcase the source of a lot of joyful anticipation for the upcoming adventure. And this time packing my suitcase was even more fun. This was because of two beautiful aluminium Hardware suitcases. You don’t know them? Then better pay attention now because this is Hardware.
Since 2020 and now for 20 years Hardware is a German specialist for luggage. By looking at their suitcases you might be able to tell that but especially the make and design make Hardware what they are today.

Ende Januar hieß es Koffer packen, denn für meinen Freund und mich stand eine dreiwöchige Reise in die USA bevor. Schon als Kind hat uns unsere Mama eingebläut, immer rechtzeitig mit dem Packen zu beginnen, denn wir waren zu fünft und um Stress zu vermeiden, war es immer ratsam, frühzeitig alle sieben Sachen beisammen zu haben. Ich verbinde das Kofferpacken immer mit einer riesigen Vorfreude auf das bevorstehende Abenteuer und es macht mir daher nichts aus. Dieses Mal hat es sogar ganz besonders viel Spaß gemacht, denn ich habe ganz spezielle Koffer gepackt. Nämlich zwei hübsche silberne Aluminiumkoffer von Hardware. Kennt ihr nicht? Dann passt jetzt gut auf, denn This is Hardware.
Schon seit 2000, also jetzt seit bereits 20 Jahren gilt Hardware als Spezialist im Bereich Reisegepäck. Das sieht man den Koffern nicht nur an, sondern merkt das auch bei der Handhabung.
But let’s start from the beginning. When I was on the search for new luggage this brand called Hardware caught my attention. I was instantly attracted by the appealing design of their suitcases and therefore dropped them an email telling them about my upcoming trip to the US. Shortly after that I received the pleasant feedback that they wanted to support me with luggage for our trip. Quickly I make my choice and went for the Hardware Profule Plus Alu series suitcases S and L. L is a huge checked suitcase which is ideal for long journeys requiring a lot of luggage. S is the exact opposite and perfect for short trips and is even small enough to be used as hand luggage.
The features
Both suitcases are equipped with 4 wheels which can carry 200kg each and spin 360°. They also have two buckles each which have integrated TSA locks. The are not very easy to lock but can also be opened by customs to check the content without damaging the suitcase. The S version of the suitcase has an elastic strap on the back to attach it to the bigger ones (both M or L). Thereby you can easily pull both suitcases with one hand and use the other hand to carry coffee, your boarding card or wave goodbye. On both ends the suitcases have handles which allow to easily lift them into the car or off the luggage belt. The bar can be adjusted in different lengths and therefore is suitable for any body height.
Thoughts
Having said all this the only drawback of the Hardware suitcases is the aluminium. However they look great the shell is quite sensitive to dents. After three flights with the suitcases they have lost a lot of their former beauty already. On the one hand this is a little disappointing, on the other hand I enjoy seeing what we have experienced together. I also believe the way airport staff treats suitcases lately has become way worse and is the main reason for the many dents rather than the sensitivity of the aluminium shell only. For those of you who think this is a dealbreaker there is no reason to forgo Hardware. They offer so many more suitcases and even the same suitcases I chose but with a shell made of polycarbonat. You can benefit from all the advantages and bypass the issue with the dents. Isn’t that great news?
Aber fangen wir einmal von vorne an. Auf der Suche nach neuem Reisegepäck bin ich also auf diese Marke Hardware gestoßen und habe mich zu allererst einmal durch das gelungene Design angesprochen gefühlt. Ich nahm also Kontakt auf und habe kurze Zeit später die erfreuliche Zusage bekommen, dass Hardware mich für die USA-Reise mit Koffern unterstützen möchte. Meine Wahl fiel sehr schnell auf die Hardware Profile Plus Alu Serie und hier auf die Varianten S und L. L bietet unheimlich viel Stauraum und eignet sich super für längere Reisen. S ist perfekt für Kurztrips und Dank seiner Größe auch als Handgepäck zugelassen.
Die Eigenschaften
Beide Hardware Koffer verfügen über 4 Rollen die je mit 200kg belastbar sind und sich um 360° drehen lassen. Zwei Schnallen mit integrierten TSA-Schlössern ermöglichen nicht nur das einfache Schließen der Hardware Koffer, sondern erlauben auch dem Zoll die Koffer zu öffnen, um ggf. den Inhalt zu prüfen, ohne das der Koffer dabei beschädigt wird. Wer denkt, das wäre schon alles, der täuscht sich gewaltig. Der Handgepäck Koffer verfügt auf der Rückseite über eine elastische Lasche, mithilfe derer er auf den M und L Koffern befestigt werden kann. Beide Hardware Koffer können so problemlos mit einer Hand geschoben werden. Die andere Hand bleibt also frei für Kaffee, Boardingpass oder für den Abschiedsgruß. An beiden Enden hat der Koffer Griffe, sodass er unproblematisch ins Auto gehoben werden kann. Und das Gestänge ist stufenweise an die jeweilige Körpergröße angepasst werden kann.
Tipps
Nach all diesen tollen Eigenschaften der Hardware Koffer möchte ich jedoch auch folgendes erwähnen. So hübsch das Aluminium zu Beginn aussieht, es ist leider sehr empfindlich und bereits jetzt mit einigen Dellen versehen. Nach nur drei Flügen sehen die Koffer schon jetzt ein wenig mitgenommen aus. Schade, aber so erinnere ich mich auch immer an alles, was wir bereits zusammen erlebt haben. Der Hauptgrund für den Zustand der Koffer ist meiner Meinung nach übrigens nur sekundär das Material Aluminium sondern viel mehr der rücksichtslose Umgang des Flughafenpersonals mit den Koffern. Wer die Dellen vermeiden möchte, sollte lieber auf ein anderes Außenmaterial zurückgreifen und wird bei Hardware dennoch garantiert fündig, denn hier gibt es das gleiche Modell aus Polycarbonat.
The inside of the suitcases
Let us continue in the inside of the suitcases because Hardware also but a lot of thinking into the inner features of their suitcases. The have two removable dividers and the whole lining can be removed to be washed. Those of you who know how much I appreciate practicality can probably imagine how much I love this.
Hardware develops and designs their luggage in Germany and I love that a brand from my home country but that much attention to details, effort and love into developing something excentional.
Das Kofferinnere
Weiter geht es im Inneren der Hardware Koffer, denn auch hier hat sich die Marke etwas einfallen lassen. Die Koffer verfügen über herausnehmbare Trennfächer und das gesamte Futter der Hardware Koffer kann zum waschen entfernt werden. Wer mich kennt, weiß wie gerne ich das Wort “praktisch” verwende und dieser Begriff trifft für meine neuen Hardware Koffer absolut ins Schwarze.
Die Hardware Koffer sind übrigens in Deutschland entwickelt und designt worden und es ist wirklich schön zu sehen, dass eine Marke aus meinem Heimatland, die so viel Aufmerksamkeit und Liebe ins Detail steckt.
