This first post in 2016 is not about new year resolutions or big plans, not about good advice for the future or profound thoughts about the past. It is simply about layers – not only in terms of my outfit but also my own layers. Maybe I did and do always look happy and satisfied, maybe I look tough but there was always missing something very important – HIM. Please do not get me wrong, I was not unhappy but beneath my clothes and behind the facade there is a little fragile heart which does not want anything but being taken by assault. Beneath all my layers that that of course are crucial for how I look and that I feel weel also my heart needs to feel well – it does not only want to keep on beating knowing that the apprearance is alright. The last weeks were quiet when it comes to my blog but my personal life was so much more exiciting on the opposite. I fell in love head over heals and I am happier than ever before. A long distance relationship is not what I expected for 2015, it involves a lot of yearning nevertheless my live it much more fulfilled that I had ever dreamt of. Of course it is not easy to be that far apart from each other and a 4 hours drive on Friday afternoon or evening and the same on Sundays steals a lot of precious time. Anyway we engaged with it and let each other have a look under our layers – showed each other a part of us that is unbelievable vulnerable. But it was worth it! Sometimes you just have to dare to win.
I know I promised to not give any advice and everybody has to decide on their own but sometimes taking the risk can be the best you could do. Having given you a little insight into my feeling, under my layers or however you want to call it does not mean I am less into wearing my layers still. And this is what my first look in 2016 is about – layers. I am wearing my beloved ACNE bomber jacket I bought in ACNE Archive when I was visiting my brother in Copenhagen. Beneath I am wearing the perfect white T-shirt from American Vintage and a Saint Troopez lace body.

In meinem ersten Post im neuen Jahr geht es nicht um gute Vorsätze oder große Pläne, es geht nicht um gute Tipps für die Zukunft und ich schwelge auch nicht ewig in Erinnerungen. Es geht schlicht und ergreifend um Layers und zwar nicht nur in meinem Outfit, sondern auch um meine eigenen. Denn es mag ja sein, dass ich immer glücklich und zufrieden wirke und gewirkt habe und dass ich nach außen hin immer tough zu sein schien und trotzdem hat mir etwas gefehlt und zwar ER. Bitte versteht mich nicht falsch, mir ging es immer gut, aber trotzdem schlägt unter den Klamotten und hinter der Fassade ein zerbrechliches Herz, das aber doch im Sturm erobert werden will. Unter all den Schichten, die letztendlich das Aussehen bestimmen, möchte schließlich auch das glücklich sein und möchte nicht nur in dem Wissen, dass das Erscheinungsbild schon passt, vor sich hin schlagen. In den letzten Wochen ist es hier auf meinem Blog zwar etwas ruhiger geworden, aber dafür in meinem Leben sehr viel aufregender. Ich habe mich Hals über Kopf verliebt und bin so glücklich wie noch nie zuvor. Ich führe eine Fernbeziehung und habe schrecklich viel Sehnsucht und doch bin ich erfüllter als vorher. Leicht ist es nicht, das viele Zug oder Auto fahren und man sieht sich schließlich auch dann nicht sonderlich lang, denn Freitagnachmittag oder abends vier Stunden in eine andere Stadt fahren und die gleiche Zeit am Sonntag wieder zurück, das schluckt schon viel Zeit. Nichtsdestotrotz haben wir uns drauf eingelassen. Den anderen hinter die Fassade blicken lassen, unter all die Schichten, die uns doch alle irgendwie umgeben und einen Teil von uns verbergen, weil wir Angst haben verletzt zu werden. Für mich hat es sich aber gelohnt! Manchmal sollte man eben doch etwas wagen und so abgedroschen es klingen mag, aber “nur wer wagt, gewinnt”. Dass es leicht ist, das will ich nicht behaupten, aber vielleicht habt ihr ja genauso ein Glück wie ich, wenn ihr euch nur traut.
Aber wie gesagt, ich möchte hier nicht die große Ratgeberin spielen. Jeder muss schließlich für sich selbst herausfinden, was für ihn das Richtige ist. Und nur weil ich euch einen kleinen Blick in mein Gefühlsleben, unter meine Layers, gegeben habe, heißt es schließlich noch lange nicht, dass ich nicht trotzdem immer noch dem Lagenlook verfallen bin und deshalb ist mein erstes Outfit im neuen Jahr auch ein solcher. Ich trage meine heißgeliebte, in Kopenhagen im ACNE Archive erstandene Bomberjacke, darunter das perfekte weiße T-Shirt von American Vintage und darunter einen Spitzebody von Sainz Tropez.
Ich hoffe das Outfit gefällt euch und wünsche euch für 2016 nur das Beste, Glückseligkeit, Kraft, Erfolg, Mut und viele Stunden mit den Menschen, die euch etwas bedeuten.
