BEACH, PLEASE!

Sometimes you just have to dream and today what I am dreaming about is white sand at a beach far far away with turqouise water and cool drinks all day long. And the only thing I want to wear is a bikini or swimsuit, slippers and sunnies and enjoy the warm breeze and smell the scent of the sea. I think I should start planning my holidays for this year very soon… And maybe some of the beauty little things you see above might join me on a trip to a lonely island somewhere near the equator. Manchmal muss man einfach träumen und ich habe heute von einem weißen Sandstrand irgendwo ganz weit weg mit türkisem Wasser und kühlen Drinks (den gaaanzen Tag lang) geträumt. Und das Einzige was ich tragen möchte, ist ein Bikini oder Badenanzug, Schlappen und eine Sonnenbrille und dann möchte ich die warme Brise mit Salzwasserdurft genießen. Mir scheint, ich sollte langsam meinen Urlaub für dieses Jahr buchen… Vielleicht begleitet mich eines oder mehrere der hübschen Teile oben ja auf einen Trip auf eine einsame Insel irgendwo ganz in der Näde des Äquators. Ja das wär was! Habt ihr einen Favoriten? Und kennt ihr die Bademode von About you? Ich bin sicher, wenn ich anfangt euch durch den Shop zu klicken, dauert es nicht lange, bis ihr euch ebenfalls beim träumen von einem warmen und sonnigen Fleck auf dieser Erde ertappt.

START OF SPRING

Sunday was the first real day of spring in Munich and my friend Lisa and I decided to use the great weather to go on a little shooting tour. And these are the first photos of that day. I was wearing a comfy jersey dress, denim jacket and Converse sneakers and added some golden jewellery. And as the sun was shining all day long I was able to wear my new KBL sunglasses. KBL is a New York based eyewear brand you should definitely check out in case you do not know it yet. Their wide range of frames and lenses is impressive and besides their sunglasses collection they also offer amazing prescription glasses.

Am Sonntag war hier in München der erste richtige Frühlingstag und da haben Lisa und ich gleich die Gelegenheit beim Schopf gepackt, uns die Kamera geschnappt und eine kleine Shootingtour gestartet. Und hier zeige ich euch schon die ersten Fotos davon. Ich habe mein super beqeuemes Jerseymidikleid, eine Jeansjacke, Converse Sneakers und goldenen Schmuck getragen. Und bei dem Traumwetter durfte meine neue KBL Sonnenbrille nicht fehlen. KBL ist ein New Yorker Brillenlabel, das ihr auf jeden Fall auf dem Schirm haben solltet, wenn ich genauso Sonnenbrillen-verrückt seid, wie ich. Die Auswahl an verschiedenen Rahmen und Gläsern ist riesig und auch die Korrekturbrillen-Kollektion wunderschön.

I have to admit I could not resist doing some “essentials for spring” shopping and altough I always think of the typical economics students when seeing blouses striped in blue and white I could not resist this AG Jeans beauty. To add a bit more of my style to the rather square look I chose to wear boyfriend jeans, sneakers and my beloved cashmere coat from Zara. You might have realized my new bag which is actually not really new but was a good shot on ebay. It is from Chloé and some seasons old already but I love the shape and colours.

Ich muss zugeben, dass ich wieder einmal schwach geworden bin und ein bisschen Frühlingshopping betrieben habe und auch wenn ich immer ein bisschen Abneigung gegen blau-weiß gestreifte Blusen gehegt habe (sind ja immer der typische “BWL-Studentinnen-auf-Starbucks-Tour-Look), habe ich diesem hübschen Teil von AG Jeans dann noch nicht widerstehen können. Und um mit selbst treu zu bleiben, mussten eine Boyfriendjeans, Sneakers und mein Allerlieblings-Kaschmirmantel von Zara zum komplettieren herhalten. Wie ihr vielleicht gemerkt habt, ist auch meine Tasche neu – und doch irgendwie auch nicht, denn die habe ich bei ebay geschossen und kann mich jetzt stolze Besitzerin einer Chloé Bag nennen. Zwar ist die Tasche schon ein paar Saisons alt, Farbe, Größe und Stil haben mich aber überzeugt.

Ray Ban Round

My friends are aware of this already but still I sometimes try to deny: I absolutely love sunglasses and could buy a new pair every day. However of course I can’t. You can never have enough shades but you never have enough money to buy all those you like. But I just could not resist and although it is winter in Germany right now I got me these Ray Ban Round Metal sunnies with golden frames and classic green lenses. And they immediately became my kind of every day all day favourites. By the way I went to optician Fielmann and was impressed by their perfect consulting. Although their prices are a little higher than those online shops offer I enjoyed this shopping experience a lot and will definately purchase there again.

What do you think about my outfit and new shades?

Meine Freunde wissen längst Bescheid und trotzdem versuche ich es immer wieder zu leugnen: Ich liebe Sonnenbrillen und könnte glatt jeden Tag eine neue kaufen. Natürlich kann ich das nicht – man kann nie genügend Sonnenbrillen haben, aber man hat auch nie genügend Geld um all die zu kaufen, die einem gefallen. Und ich konnte trotzdem nicht widerstehen und habe mir (ja ich weiß es ist Winter) dieses runde Modell mit goldenem Rahmen und klassischen grünen Gläsern von Ray Ban gegönnt. Kaum einmal getragen, wurde diese Brille mein Alltags-Favorit. Ich habe sie übrigens bei Fielmann gekauft und war von der Beratung wirklich begeistert. Der Werbung möchte man ja immer so ungern glauben, jedoch werde ich auch in Zukunft, wenn ich einmal wieder nach einer Sonnenbrille suche, zuerst dort nachfragen.

Dr Martens & stuff

Sometimes it’s time to give something a try you have always been unsure about. This is how I felt about Dr. Martens but since I have been seeing them at so many well dressed people I somehow started sympathising with these rather boyish and rough boots. Nevertheless I didn’t like them looking new and unworn and therefore was searching for them on many second hand platforms until I found a pair I really liked on eBay. And luckily I won the auction! So here they are – my new vintage Dr. Martens. I decided to combine them with destroyed jeans, a classic turtle neck sweater from Zara, a loose black trenchcoat I purchased at Hallhuber (it even was on sale!), my beloved Proenza Schouler PS11 and added some golden rings with gemstones from luilu jewellery.

What do you think of this combo?

Manchmal muss man sich etwas trauen, worüber man sich lange nicht ganz sicher war. So ging’s mir mit Dr. Martens. Oft und oft habe ich sie an gut gekleideten Menschen gesehen und irgendwann angefangen mit dem burschikosen und groben Look zu sympatisieren. Aber neu und ungetragen haben sie mir einfach nicht gefallen. Ich begab mich also auf die (anfangs zugegebenermaßen aussichtlos erscheinende) Suche nach dem perfekten Paar und habe allerhand Second Hand Shopping-Plattformen durchforstet, bis mir endlich auf eBay ein Paar über den Weg gelaufen ist, das genau so war, wie ich es mir vorgestellt hatte. Und dann ging die Zitterpartie los: abwarten, abwarten und dann bieten, bieten, bieten! Und wie ihr auf den Fotos sehen könnt, war ich schließlich die glückliche Gewinnerin der Auktion und endlich Besitzerin meiner eignene perkeften Dr. Martens. Ich habe mich für den heutigen Post für ein Outfit bestehend aus destroyed Jeans, einem klassischen Rollkragenpullover von Zara, einem fließenden schwarzen Trenchcoat von Hallhuber (der übrigens im Sale war!), meine geliebte Proenza Schouler PS11 und goldenen Ringe mit bunten Steinen von luilu jewellery entschieden.

Mild winter

Hey guys, this year’s winter is quite mild in Munich but I really enjoy being able to wear my wool coats instead of down parkas or even just a knitted sweater. What I love most about the outfit we shot some days ago is how cosy it is without loosing style. The beautiful photo were taken by MAX+ONE – I really love his work and am looking forward to hopefully many future shootings. You can check out his work on his girlfriend’s blog Hirschkind.

Hi Leute, der Winter in München ist wahnsinnig mild dieses Jahr, aber zugegebenermaßen vermisse ich ihn nicht allzu sehr, denn ich kann meinen dicken Parka hinten im Schrank lassen und endlich einmal oft genug meine Wollmäntel ausführen zu können. Außerdem kann man sich auch mal nur im Strickpulli vor die Tür wagen. Und so entstanden die Fotos für den heutigen Post, mit einem Outfit, das super bequem ist und trotzdem nicht an Stil verliert. Die tollen Fotos hat übrigens MAX+ONE gemacht und mehr davon könnt ihr auf Hirschkind, dem Blog seiner Freundin Katha bestaunen. Ich liebe seine Arbeit und freue mich auf hoffentlich noch ganz viele weitere Shootings.
