White sneakers for spring feeling

Hi my loves, it’s freezing cold here in Munich but I think it is time for spring now! I can’t wait for warmer days and the sun leaving a warm feeling on the skin. But as it seems it will take some more weeks until that and that’s why I chose a rather spring loof for today’s post – just to make myself feel like it was spring.

And which colour fits spring better that a bright shiny white? I love the clean look of white shoes and really can’t get enough of them. Lucky me that I got my new white leather sneakers on Zara sale for 20€ only. I could wear them every day and I think they are a quite good cheap alternative to the Sam Smith Adidas sneakers (not that I would refuse to buy me some in addition to the ones I have now). I think you can never have enough comfy shoes anyway. High heels every day? – Not an option for me although I love mine a lot!

Some may think that you are only sexy if you wear heels but if you do not feel well because your feet hurt you cannot radiate being sexy. I think you need to be in a good mood to attract others. So girls: change your shoes when ever you think it’s time to do so, otherwise you will probably not look attractive to anyone because everyone can tell you are not being comfortable.

Hallo meine Herzblätter, es ist wirklich verdammt kalt hier in München aber ich finde es ist jetzt endlich Zeit für Frühling! Ich kann die wärmeren Tage wirklich langsam nicht mehr erwarten, an denen die Sonne wieder ein warmes Gefühl auf der Haut hinterlässt. Aber wie es scheint, muss ich mich noch etwas gedulden und deshalb habe ich mir einfach selbst einen Frühlingstag gemacht und zwar mit dem Outfit für den heutigen Post.

Und welche Farbe passt besser in die wärmere Jahreszeit als strahlendes weiß?! Ich Liebe weiß und das vor allem an den Füßen. Was für ein Glück also, dass ich diese weißen Ledersneakers in Zara-Sale für gerade mal 20€ ergattern konnte. Ich könnte sie wirklich jeden Tag tragen und finde, dass sie eine ganz tolle günstige Alternative zu den Sam Smith Adidas Sneakers sind, die einem momentan wirklich auf allen Blogs und Straßen entgegenlaufen (nicht, dass das ein Grund für mich wäre, selbst auf sie zu verzichten). Ich finde auf jeden Fall, dass man nie genügend gemütliche, bequeme Schuhe haben kann. Jeden Tag High Heels ist für mich jedenfalls keine Option, sosehr ich meine auch liebe. Aber mal ganz ehrlich: wenn man sich nicht wohlfühlt, weil einem die Füße weh tun, können High Heels noch so sexy aussehen – die Frau, die sie trägt, strahlt dann bestimmt keine Sexiness mehr aus. Also sollten euch die Füße weh tun, zieht doch bitte einfach bequeme Schuhe an, sonst seht ihr bestimmt nicht gerade anziehend aus, mit dem vor Schmerz verzogenen Gesicht!

Masculine office look

Dear all, hope you’re all doing well! After a bad cold I am fine again and ready to start my new job on Monday. I am really much looking forward to meeting all my former colleagues again! Public Relations is a branch I never thought of when going to school but I finally found out during my studies that this is what I want to do – wll for now at least… No one knows what the future brings!

Today’s look is one that I can definately imagine for a day in the office. The white blouse with the sweater and masculine coat is the classic part of the look and the leather pants and cut-out booties make the whole outfit less severe and add a cool touch. The yellow clutch adds a bit more colour to the combination of shades of grey.

I by the way love the colour of my hair right now. The ends are still bleached of summer and sun and and I like how the colour changes from the hairline to the ends. All this makes the grey rainy sky look so much less horrible and you can even almost smell spring.

What do you do to prevent winter blues? Any tips?

Hallo alle, geht’s euch soweit gut? Ich bin nach einer fiesen Erkältung zum Glück endlich wieder einigermaßen fit und freu mich riesig auf den Start in meinen neuen Job am Montag. Außerdem kann ich’s kaum erwarten meine lieben Ex-Kollegen wieder um mich zu haben. Dass ich eines Tages in der PR lande, hätte ich niemals gedacht und schon gar nicht, als ich noch zur Schule gegangen bin. Erst im Studium hab ich entdeckt, wie viel Spaß mit das macht und dass es das ist, was ich tun möchte – zumindest jetzt gerade. Was die Zukunft bringt, weiß man ja sowieso nicht und deshalb sollte man doch jetzt, wo man es sich aussuchen kann, das tun, was einem Spaß macht und wofür man sich begeistern kann.

Das heutige Outfit könnte ich mir jedenfalls definitiv für einen Tag im Büro vorstellen. Die weiße Bluse mit dem gemütlichen Pulli und dem maskulin angehauchten Mantel sind eher klassisch, aber die Lederhose und die Cut-Out Boots bringen etwas Pepp ins Outfit. Und für den nötigen Farbklecks sorgt meine knallgelbe Clutch von Topshop.

Ich mag meine Haarfarbe momentan übrigens wirklich gerne. Die Spitzen sind immer noch von Sommer und Sonne gebleicht und oben ist das Blond eher dunkel. Ein natürliches Ombré sozusagen. Und so sieht doch auch der graue, mit Wolken behangene Himmel gleich nur noch halb so schlimm aus, man könnte glatt meinen man riecht schon den Frühling.

Was macht ihr denn um Winterdepressionen vorzubeugen? Habt ihr vielleicht ein paar hilfreiche Tipps, wie man trotz schlechtem Wetter bei guter Laune bleibt?

TWIN-SET Simona Barbieri feather vest

Hi guys, in fashion business fur is a two-edged sword. On the one hand many people like the exclusivity of fur on the other hand no one wants to know what happens until the jacket or coat is ready for sale… And now as down and feathers are getting more and more popular among fashion lovers also this alternative to fur is falls into disrepute.

But lets be honest: we love the look of fur and feathers, the smooth feeling when touching it and how it warms our bodies. And I must admit that I love my feather vest by TWIN-SET Simona Barbieri. The colour almost fits everything and it is not too thick to wear it under a jacket or coat. Did you by the way know that a TWIN-SET store opened in Munich last year?! It is definately worth a visit! I love the interior design of the shop with sooo many beautiful details and staff is really kind and will love to help you shopping your future favourite pieces.

Hallo ihr Lieben, wie jeder weiß ist Pelz in der Modewelt ein zweischneidiges Schwert. Einerseits lieben viele die Exklusivität von Pelt, andererseits will doch niemand wissen, was passiert, bevor eine Jacke oder ein Mantel aus Pelz fertig zum Verkauf ist… Und dann kam jemand auf die Idee statt Pelz einfach Federn und Daunen zu benutzen, doch mittlerweile ist auch das ziemlich in Verruf geraten.

The turtleneck sweater trend

For a looong long time turtleneck sweater were typical shelf-warmers. Not even trendy enough for really cold days and therefore existent in hardly any closet. But as collars are getting bigger and fits looser the image of the oldfashioned turtleneck changed. Now you see the style in almost every store and in many many streetstyles and also I found one that isn’t only comfortable but also matches my opinion of fashion. I absolutely love the colour of it – the mixture of different shades of green.

See how I combine the former granny cloth with ripped jeans from AG Jeans and my beloved ACNE Cypress boots.

Laaaange lange Zeit waren Rollkragenpullover richtige Ladenhüter. Nicht mal für wirklich kalte Tage waren diese Pullis angesagt genug und deshalb auch in kaum einem Kleiderschrank zu finden. Aber je größer die Krägen und weiter die Schnitte wurden, desto beliebter wurde der ehemals unbeachtete Rollkragenpulli wieder. Mittlerweile findet man ihn wieder in so ziemlich allen Shops und auch die Streetstyles sind davon momentan geprägt! Und auch ich habe einen gefunden, der nicht nur unglaublich gemütlich ist, sondern auch meinem Modegeschmack zu 100% entspricht! Außerdem gefällt mir der Mix aus vielen verschiedenen Grüntönen unglaublich gut.

Kombiniert habe ich das frühere “Omateil” mit meiner Lieblingsjeans von AG Jeans un meinen geliebten ACNE Cypress Boots.

Day `n` night in blue, black and white

My lovelies, who of you doesn’t know that nowadays: one appointment after another, one event after an other and this challenges us a lot when in comes to chosing an outfit which fits day and night events. This is a problem I know really well and therefore tried to find a solution to it which would mean changing a day outfit to one you can also wear at night.

of course there are probably a lot of possibilities to do this. The one I chose includes changing some pieces within the outfit. The base stays the same: a thin H&M knitted sweater and Zara leather pants. I chose grey pants as the fit a daily look better than black ones I thought. Then I replaced the white classic SUPERGA sneakers by my baby blue High Heels you might know from one of the posts from Barcelona already and substituted my favourite leather jacket from Mango by the black and white striped Riani coat. To avoid hours of undressing and dressing and putting on new make-up I just put on some red lipstick (mine is from M.A.C. Cosmetics) which in my opinion immediately changes a make-up from day to night. The result is a look that’s perfect for many kinds of night events and all that without spending hours on changes.

Thanks to Andreas Horn and his photography talent you cannot even tell from the pictures how freezing it was outside. I love his work! You should definately visit his website.

Ihr Lieben, wer kennt das nicht: heutzutage springt man von Termin zu Termin, von Event zu Event und dann ist es manchmal gar nicht so einfach, ein passendes Outfit zu finden, das sowohl tagsüber, als auch abends angemessen ist und dazu noch gut aussieht. Und diesem Problem habe ich mich nun einmal gewidmet. Das heißt, ich habe versucht so einfach wie möglich aus einem Alltagslook ein Outfit für abends zu zaubern.

Bestimmt gibt es dafür viele verschiedene Möglichkeiten, ich habe mich jedoch dafür entschieden auch das ein oder andere Teil auszuwechseln. Die Basis bestehend aus einem dünnen Strickpullover von H&M und einer Hose aus Lederimitat von Zara bleibt aber die gleiche. Die graue Lederhose ist meiner Meinung nicht ganz so krass, wie die schwarzen Modelle in meinem Kleiderschrank und gerade deshalb auch für tagsüber geeignet. Meine bequemen Sneakers von SUPERGA tausche ich gegen die hellblauen High Heels, die ihr vielleicht schon von einem sommerlichen Post direkt aus Barcelona kennt und meine Lieblingslederjacke von Mango (auch in Spanien erstanden ;)) ersetze ich durch den gestreiften Mantel von Riani. Und mit etwas rotem Lippenstift (hier von M.A.C. Cosmetics) ist auch das Make-Up etwas glamouröser und bestens für den Abend geeignet. Und das alles mit wenigen unkomplizierten Handgriffen und ohne stundenlanges Umziehen und Schminken.

Die tollen Fotos sind übrigens Dank des Talents von Andreas Horn entstanden! Seine Website findet ihr hier. Er hat es tatsächlich hinbekommen, dass man nicht sieht, wie eiskalt es an dem Tag war! Meine Zehen waren in den weniger Winter-tauglichen Schuhen nämlich ganz schöne Eiszapfen und trotzdem hat es riesen Spaß gemacht!

Cameilla Top by Kora Rae

Dear lovelies, unbelievable – but I found the perfect blouse! And even better: I had my first collaboration with a US label. It is called Kora Rae. Kora Rae is a contemporary luxury women’s line launched in 2013. The designer Rachel Turzer works with European silks and leathers and with local New York craftsmanship. A percentage of all proceeds is donated to Missouri`s National Tiger Sanctuary. Rachel herself sais: “The woman wearing Kora Rae embodies the psyche of the tiger: she is fearless, powerful, beautiful and independent in every aspect of her life, including what she wears.” Beautiful words for wonderful collections! I absolutely love my silk top called “Cameilla” in “cloud” – a super smooth bright blue. Get yours here!

Ihr Lieben, unglaublich aber wahr: ich habe die perfekte Bluse gefunden. Und damit nicht genug: Ich habe sie, dank einer Kollaboration mit dem US Label Kora Rae bekommen. Das Damen-Label ist modern, jung und elegant, genau wie die Designerin Rachel Turzer. Sie arbeitet mit Seide und Leder aus Europa und gefertigt werden die hübschen Teile in New York. Übrigens geht ein Teil aller Erlöse an die Missouri National Tiger Sanctuary, die sich um das Wohlergehen und das Fortleben der Tiger kümmert! Rachel selbst sagt, dass die Frau die Kora Rae trägt die Psyche des Tigers verkörpert: ohne Angst, voller Kraft, Schönheit und Unabhängigkeit in jedem Aspekt des Lebens. Und diese Einstellung sieht man in jeder ihrer Kollektionen! Ich liebe meine Seidenbluse mit dem hübschen Namen “Cameilla” in der Farbe “cloud” jetzt schon sehr und kann es kaum erwarten, sie im Sommer auch ohne Jacke oder Mantel zu tragen! Hier könnt ihr eure ergattern!
