There are some trends I cannot identify with from the first second but some of them convince me after some time. The culottes are one of them. It took me a while because I do not have the typical skinny legs many other bloggers have but mine are quite muscular. Therefore the length of skirts, dresses and culottes needs to be selected carefully to not make my legs bigger than they actually are. But these fake leather culottes from Saint Tropez are really close to perfect.

Es gibt Trends mit denen ich mich zugegebenermaßen nicht von Anfang an anfreunden kann, die mich aber nach einer Weile doch überzeugen. Und so war es auch mit Culottes. Es hat eine Weile gedauert, denn ich habe recht muskulöse Waden und dadurch muss ich auf die Länge von Röcken, Kleider und Culottes besonders achten, um meine Beine nicht unnötig dicker wirken zu lassen. Diese Culotte von Saint Tropez kommt aber recht nah an Perfektion heran, nicht wahr?

SLIP ON

The time in between winter and spring is not always easy when it comes to the right outfit. But there is one type of shoes that at least solve the “shoe problem” in days like these – slip ons. They still cover you feet pretty well if a days turns out to be colder that you thought but if the sun is shining and you decide to refresh your feet in a river, lake or the like there is no need to tying your shoes or untangling knots. So no valuable time is lost due to these annoyig things and you can immediately enjoy the cool water or refreshing breeze of the wind between your toes. This is why I appreciate their come back to my shoe closet so much!

Die Zeit zwischen Winter und Frühling ist oftmals sehr unberechenbar und macht mir persönlich die Outfitwahl manchmal ziemlich schwer. Aber immerhin gibt es eine Schuhform, die zumindest das nennen wir es mal “Schuhproblem” löst – Slip-ons. Wenn es ein wenig kälter ist, muss man in ihen nicht frieren, hat man aber Glück und es ist einer der wärmeren Tage, sind die ohne ewiges Knoten lösen und Schuhe binden blitzschnell ausgezogen und die wertvolle Zeit kann ganz der Erfrischung im kühlen Nass oder in einer leichten Brise gewidmet werden. Und gerade deshalb bin ich so froh, dass sie ihren Weg zurück in meinen Schuhschrank gefunden haben!

CONTRASTS

The blue denim story continues… I really just can’t get enough and there are still so many options how to wear it. For today’s post I decided to combine blue denim with black/grey denim and my rough Dr. Martens. I love how the boots contrast with the delicate blossoms on the trees and can’t wait for more sunny days of spring like that one when we shot three oufits in a row without having to change in the car with the heating on and lambskin boots on out feet.

Und so geht die Blue Denim Story weiter… Ich kriege einfach nicht genug davon und es gibt noch etliche Kombis, die ich euch gerne zeigen möchte. Für den heutigen Post habe ich eine blaue Jeansbluse mit einer schwarz-grauen Jeans kombiniert und dazu meine derben Dr. Martens getragen. Ich liebe einfach den Kontrast zwischen den Boots und den zarten Blüten der Bäume und kann die hoffentlich vielen kommenden sonnigen Frühlingstage gar nicht mehr erwarten, denn ich habe die Nase voll vom Umziehen mit Lammfellboots an den Füßen und voll aufgedrehter Autoheizung.

Schaut also bald wieder vorbei Leute – es kommt noch einiges!

My sister only asked how many I do have now without any emotional reaction when I told her about what I shopped at the new TK Maxx store that just opened in Munich – a new leather jacket. But I am still as proud about my purchase as when I bought my first real leather jacket. Maybe others do not even see the differences between my jackets but those of you who know what I am talking about know how much of a difference 5 centimeters in length mean, or the type of leather. And can’t you wear leather jackets for almost any kind of occasion? It just depends on the shape and as it finally is warm enough again to wear leather jackets I decided to show you some of my favourites that are just in stores now.

Meine Schwester hat ohne jegliche emotionale Regung lediglich gefragt, wieviele ich denn jetzt hätte, als ich ihr erzählt habe, was ich im neuen TK Maxx, der gerade in München sein Pforten eröffnet hat, geshoppt habe – nämlich eine neue Lederjacke. Und man möchte es kaum glauben, aber ich bin so stolz wie beim ersten Kauf einer Echtlederjacke. Andere sehen sicherlich keine großen Unterschiede zwischen meinen Jacken, aber diejenigen unter euch, die wissen von was ich sprechen, wissen, welchen Unterscheid 5 Zentimeter in der Länge oder die Art des Leders ausmachen. Und außerdem kann man Lederjacken schließlich zu nahezu jedem Anlass tragen, es kommt nur auf den Schnitt an. Lange mussten wir uns gedulden, aber nun ist es endlich wieder warm genug unsere Schätze aus den Tiefen der Kleiderschränke zu ziehen. Für den Fall, dass ihr noch auf der Suche seid, habe ich auch ein paar der schönsten Lederjacken, die die Shops momentan zu bieten haben zusammen gesammelt und bin sicher, darunter findet ihr eure neue Lieblingsjacke.

OLIVE BOMBER

Aren’t bomber jackets everybodys darlings? Just depending on the upper fabric they can easily make your outfit look sophisticated, cozy, elegant or casual. When choosing the look I am wearing for today’s post I tought to keep it rather clean but mix my satin bomber and t-neck dress with jeans and rough boots. And although I did not try what this combination looks like I really like the result. And I hope so do you!

Sind Bomberjacken nicht “Everybodys Darling”? Spielend leicht gibt sie nahezu jedem Outfit automatisch je nach Obermaterial eine gewisse Richtung – klassisch, gemütlich, elegant oder leger. Das Outfit, das ich für den heutigen Post ausgewählt habe, habe ich vorher gar nicht anprobiert, habe mich aber direkt rundum wohl gefühlt darin und bin mit dem Ergebnis der Fotos mehr als zufrieden. Die Kombi aus der Satin-Bomberjacke, Kleid, Jeans und derben Boots gefällt mir unheimlich gut – und euch hoffentlich auch!

No matter where you look – palms and cacti are everywhere! And how to manage living and your green thumb at the same time is what Bloomingville shows with their new summer collection. I am absolutely rapturous and donÄt know what to say about all the beautiful things they offer. And I am even more curious about which of these treausres will be yours soon. Wohin man auch sieht – überall Palmen und Kakteen! Und wie es gelingt, Wohnen und den grünen Daumen unter einen Hut zu bekommen zeigt Bloomingville mit der Sommerkollektion. Ich bin hin und weg und weiß gar nicht, wo ich zuerst hinschauen soll. Außerdem bleibt mir vor lauter “es grünt so grün” glatt die Spucke weg. Macht aber nix, denn ich denke die Bilder sprechen für sich. Ich bin gespannt welche Teile Einzug in euer Heim finden. Ich habe mir schon einiges ausgeguckt!
